What Did You Think of Hillary's Speech?

Gee, I was sure a dozen people would have beaten me to this topic but I guess since it's Saturday things really are slower around here. Anyway, who saw Hillary's speech today? I thought it was super, possibly the best speech of her career so far. She put it so well, how the Democratic Party is like a family and how they were on different paths for awhile but now those paths have merged...please excuse me if I don't have this word for word, I'm typing it from memory. Anyway, I thought it was a great analogy and I think much of what happens in politics can be compared to what happens in many of the best families. Siblings get into little spats or compete against one another for various "prizes"; sometimes they tell little white lies about each other to "stir up trouble"; sometimes they make up little tales about themselves or exaggerate things that actually happened to make themselves seem a bit more worthy. However, when all is said and done, once the dust has settled they'll defend each other and support each other no matter what.
Here are my questions other than simply "what did you think of the speech" - do you think Hillary did what she needed to do to unite the party and to console her own loyal supporters? If some of her most rabid supporters still insist on sitting out the election or especially voting for McCain, how do you think Hillary would REALLY feel about that?

I think she did a good job and for once seemed honest and genuine. I think her loyal supporters because of her will stay to the left instead of going to the right. Those that do go to the right though, maybe deserve to be there if they would go toward McCain instead of Obama. But all in all, she did a great job of trying to hold the Dem's together.

I think it was an amazing speech. It will definitely have some power in convincing Hillary supporters to vote for Obama in November, as many have pledged that they WILL NOT vote for him. She emphasized the need to bring the party together saying that though she was not giving the speech she had expected to give, she was glad to have the audience. She is behind Obama and made that clear. Now her supporters are more likely to follow her lead.

I don't believe Hillary cares for Obama at all. I think she made that speech because if she didn't, she'd never get any support from the DNC for anything ever again. She must continue to kiss the as$ of party leaders if she wants their support and their money. Even with that people are already mad at her for not dropping out sooner, and for waiting till Saturday to put her support behind Obama. She has to work hard to get back in their good graces if she has any hopes of running for the presidency again.
