I am on a few different sites and I am constantly getting emails that are looking so hard to find someone to fall in love with the only catch they are either in Nigeria or some far land and they can never give you straight up information but the worst part about it all is that they think you are stupid enough to wire them money what a joke

it is nice to know that you did not fall into their trap. i also receved a lot of emails with the same intent of soliciting money. i am not sure if there are people who are duped by these emails. but the number of emails would tell me that there may be people who are dupd by these scrupulous people from ar away land. thank you for sharing this.

What a sad and pathetic waste of time. Unfortunately, there are people out there who will fall for this schemes, even though they are widely discussed. Just be happy that you haven't been one of them!!

i remember watching an NBC newline or something that was talking about those scams. apparently Nigeria is like the world capitol for them! sad thing is, lots of ppl do fall for them and get taken for thousands of dollars. personally i cant understand how they could be so gullible, but then again im not a very trusting person lol! shoot ive gotten scam emails saying ive won money in many different country lotto drawings (which i never entered, dont live in ANY of those countries so how could i have been entered and then be a legit winner??) another popular one is an email from a lawyer, barrister, estate executor, saying that i have inherited money from i have no idea who. or the ever popular far-away-country-in-turmoil goverment official or ruling party leader, is in exile or seeking asylum, and needs my help in getting their millions and millions of money out of the country and into a their safe hands..with a handsome amount coming to me for being so generous and STUPID! got to keep that saying in your head..."if it seems too good to be true...IT ISNT!!" LOL!

Yes you are right. Someone also tried to make me fool on internet from Ghana almost 3 years ago. But i did not scammed by him because i knew he is trying to scam me. I have a suggestion if you got an email like it then just reply him and say i trust you and give them your phone number and say them please call you and you want to dicsuss with him about this transaction. And waste his time and money on phone. I did it with that person. He called me twice or three time and i wasted his money on phone. Lol Thanks
