Do I need a yearly PAP smear?

Okay, this is a common thing for many women. We go to the doctor and they say to you that you are due for a yearly exam. Now, if they would look in my chart before they tried to set this exam up, they would save themselves embarassment and time. This year I had to get the doctor's attention and I told him that every year we go through this and the answer is the same. They can search for hours looking for that darn cervix and they will never find it....lol I have had a total hysterectomy and there is no cervix! Thank goodness the doctor has a good sense of humor and was able to laugh about this with me. Have you had your yearly exam? Any good stories?
