Amtrak

I will be coming to America in a couple of months to do some journeys by rail on Amtrak. The Southwest Chief and the California Zephyr. I have travelled on neither to date and was wondering if anyone here has any travel stories from either of those journeys?
Also any travel tips on getting from Emeryville Amtrak Station to SFO without spending an arm and a leg on taxi fares?

You will enjoy both trains. I have taken both several times.
An Amtrak bus will take you from Emeryville into San Francisco. Just be sure that your ticket shows San Francisco (not Emeryville) as your destination.

Thanks Jim. But its SFO (the international airport area I am wanting to get to after departing the train at Emeryville. I think I can take BART, but I don't the know area at all well or how to use BART.
I have done the journey from Emeryville to SFO by taxi before and it cost close to $100, so I need a cheaper alternative.
