Is there anyone amongst you who hates shopping? I've yet to come across another woman who hates shopping. For me, shopping is a nightmare. Each time I have to go shopping I start getting the jitters. My friends and relatives especially my mom think it's unnatural. But, what to do? If I need to buy something, I just go to that particular shop, pick up that stuff and out! If any one asks me to accompany him/her to the market, I look for excuses to slime out. Sometimes I feel so bad. My poor mom is elderly and has few friends in this city. She has no one to take her out shopping. Normally, moms and daughters love going out shopping together. But, I try to make excuses and avois going. And, then I feel so bad. Do you think, it;s wrong of me to behave like this. I just hate shopping. I'm totally allergic to it!

Hi rinkub, I hate shopping during vacation. You know very often the tourist guides just drop the whole bus of us in a shopping department in the manufacturing factory. I consider it is a waste of time to spend my precious time listening to the briefing and hanging around the displayed products, like foods, ornaments, paintings etc. I was told that the tourist guides usually get commissions for bringing tourists to stay there for at least half an hour. I find the prices of the products sold there are tremendously high compare to those in the market. I like spending my sweet time enjoy watching natural landscape in the scenic sites, or enjoy eating the local delicious food. So I rather prefer to have my foreign trip by my own instead of joining the tourist group.

At ordinary time I go shopping only when it is required to do so, like I need certain essential household items badly. I always try to get them from the nearest area. I consider hanging around the shopping mall just to buy some unnecessary items is a waste of my precious time. I rather prefer to do other interesting and fruitful activities.

I hate shopping! I get nervous in crowded stores and HATE going for groceries, clothes or anything else! When forced to have to go..like for food, I get what I am after and GET OUT! When I go for clothes, I know the stores that have what I want, go right to the one section, get what I want and try to be in and out in no more than ten minutes!
I don't think it is unnatural at all. For those of us that get nervous easily in crowds, it is VERY natural to try to avoid going! Some like to shop..they are welcome to do mine for me.
I'd rather go to a dark movie, where I can realx and feel like I am the only one in there. (A quiet matinee.)
THE ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE is Christmas shopping in a mall. I HATE it!
