Have you ever caught someone peeking into your windows at home?

Years ago, when we moved into our house, I caught a woman peeking into our window. I think she was interested in renting the house and just made an honest mistake. But, it was still kind of spooky. When she saw me peering out, she was very surprised and left quickly. Guess she thought the house was empty. Have you ever caught someone peeking into your home windows? Did you call the police?

Never at home but I caught some one at a hotel once. I was so freaked out because I was on the road in a strange part of the country and it was just me and my neice. I took so many weird precautionary measures to make sure the window could not be opened and the door was secure. My neice still laughs about it.

Better safe than sorry! I have been in those kinds of situations. Usually a criminal will look for a lone woman or women who are not taking precautions and look like an easy target. So, you did a very good thing! (Sorry I couldn't get back to your comment before, now. My broadband connection keeps going out. I wasn't online all Monday!)

Yes, I was very sensitive to the fact that this person likely saw two women (one rather young) traveling alone when we checked in. Thanks for the BR.

I've never caught anyone looking into the windows of our house but my mother did when I was just a baby. She was the only one home at the time and I was only a few weeks old. She called my grandfathers brother and he came over and scared them off. They ended up running and fell into the hole that we had started for our basement stairs. They somehow got out though and ran as he chased them off with his vehicle. They never figured out who it was.

The only people that peek through our windows are my sister's friends, she is 12 and many of your friends are younger, so if someone does not appear at the door within a second then they all have their faces up against the window. But in the creepy stalker sense, no I have never caught someone peeking in through my windows. I tend to look through my window if I have forgotten my key to see if there car is in the backyard, if it is in then I know my Mam is and to ring the doorbell until she decided to answer lol.

That's a good idea. That way she can see who it is.

lol that would be very embarrassing to her. I never seen anyone but I would really hate it. What the hell do they want to see?!

I've almost always lived in a house with a yard and/or fence, so thankfully I've never had someone peek. It would totally freak me out if someone did! xD
