Your not strange at ALL! It's so funny but i do the exact same thing! I NEVER call my husband by his name. That just seems so odd to me, like it's to formal. I usually call him baby, babe, honey, or my personal favorite Daddy Pants! LOL!

Sometimes I call him by his real name (Bryan) and sometimes I call him babe. Many times I address him by the nickname I to gave him a long time ago, which is Bunny, from a funny story... But that's another topic altogether!

I do not exactly call my partner by name, if I need to call her, I call her -"Dear, please listen.........". She also normally does not call me by my first name, in Indian culture, wives do not call their husbands by their first name, except some exceptions.

I call my husband "daddy" or "be" short for "Babe' or "Baby". I even don't know how and who started calling. But when are furious or have a petty fight, we call each other's full name. . . hehehe

you're not strange... it's better you call your partner with an endearment than to call them with their names...it's not so sweet... I don't want my partner to call me with my name either... It's just like talking to your friends...

Someimes I call my husband by his first name, other times I call him things like sexy, hot stuff, goodlooking... My sister calls her husband Pooky. I don't think we even remember his real name anymore. Even the guys at work sometimes call him Pooky.

I have several endearments for my husband, but I also use his name--well, his nickname, actually. He is very hard of hearing (really!), and I often need to call his name repeatedly and loudly before he hears.

hehe my husband has selective hearing when i call him to do jobs he never hears me but i could whisper foods ready and he hears that lol thaks for your response! have a great day!

Its funny you should bring that up. I am constantly telling him to call me by my name. I get so tired of hearing BABE all the time. He fell in love with a real person with a real name. It doesn't take much effort to say BABE all the time, you know?

Hon! Sugar! Babe! Yep, I use all those names for my honey. I don't usually use my honey's real name, cause it makes him feel like I'm calling him on something he's done. He's a big softie, so I try not to offend. It's rubbed off onto a new generation and now I call my little girl "sweetie". She's so funny. Sometimes she calls me "honey", isn't that too sweet? Kids are so adorable and funny. Thanks for the super fun discussion.
