For my whole life ive been told to get good grades so i can go to an american college and get a good degree. but recently people have been tellling me that canadian degrees are just as good as american ones and are just as highly apreciated. now i dotn believe this one bit and would like to know what you opinion is? also why is it so much more to get an american education compared to getting a canadian degree. this has puzzled me. if canadian degrees were just as high valued, then wouldnt the prices be the same?

Canadian education is way better than the Americans. We learn about everything and not just about themselves. That is one downfall that I find with the Americans Education system. They fail to teach them anything about Canadian History even though we are part of them and the Canadians are helping them out in this dumb war in Iraq etc. Canadian Colleges/Universites are the same as having a degree from the States. There really is no difference. The only thing that makes the difference is the student themself.

I do believe that Canadian education, if not better than, is as good as the American ones. The only problem is that for foreign students, Canadian education is much more expensive than American education because it does not offer as many scholarships as Americans do.

I think certain universtites in Canada are just as good. mcGill Univ. has an excellent reputation. I don't know beyond that. I think you need to discuss things with your academic advisors and see what they have to say.
