hello there golly. i get bored also with salad though i like mayonaise dressing. i once saw this show on tv a asian style dressing as she called it. i can not remember every ingredients but i made it on how i remembered it. olive oil (sometimes i use extra virgin olive oil), apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, a little honey, garlic minced, ground pepper and peanut butter. sorry for i dont know the exact measurement stupid me lol but i only make a little just to cover the veggies i have for my salad. i hope this will make your salad happy.

Try some apple juice, or pineapple juice. I am not sure what else you might have available. A fruited vinaigrette, maybe.

I would tend to use a honey and mustard dressing on mine which you ccan buy, I think Kraft do a light one but I make my own by mixing some wholegrain mustard with some honey and a bit of lemon juice. I mix this also with cooked pasta shapes, a bit of chicken, cherry tomatoes and spring onions as a meal sometimes. Ellie :D

hi Gollywog I have never met anyone who did not like
wishbones ranch dressing and on coleslaw it is just
so fantastic you would not believe it. really yummy
also oil and vinegar with some pickle juice is always
good on salads I think.

I don't like mayo or salad cream either, Gollywog (too eggy) - but if you stir a teaspoon of curry powder and a squirt of lemon juice into sour cream, that's really nice and different to use when you normally would use mayo. Balsamic vinegar is good, too - a good quality one. Bravo for eating all that salad!

Try grilled pear salad with watercress. Here is my recipe
4 medium pears (any kind)
crumbled blue cheese
walnut halves
brown sugar
watercress
mandarin wedges
Toast the walnuts in the brown sugar until well coated and then set them aside on a piece of waxed paper
grill the pears just until the grilling marks show
place the watercress in a bowl and then add the walnuts and the mandarins
place the grilled pears on top and add the blue cheese (optional)
finally pour the vinagrette over all of it and mix....... ENJOY!@!

What about a vinaigrette? We make ours with chopped oregano, parsley, basil, and thyme and mix it with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and sugar to taste. It's sooo savory and just mm!
