I just got done reading her biography which she wrote herself and her kids found years later and published and let me tell you that was by far the best biography/memoir that I have ever read. She lived a very sad and often chaotic life and as a longtime fan I found myself unable to put it down. For any lucy fan I recommend checking it out.

I'll have to check it out from the library. Is it just called Lucille Ball, or does it have another title. I love the old reruns. Her sense of comedic timing and her facial expressions are some of the best that hollywood has ever seen. (In my opinion of course.)

It's too bad that such a talented person ended up so unhappy with her life. I think she must have felt a compulsion to work. i know she didn't spend much time with her children.

Believe it or not she spent more time with them then Desi did. He was like never home and out partying. So she was often having to raise the kids practically on her own but she did travel away for movie premires and would take pictures of the kids with her so that in a way they were with her. Very inspiring book!

Oh I loved the "I love Lucy" shows, and biographies are about the only books I like to read, I will have to look out for this book, I could imagine her life is a lot different to what we would all think, quite often funny people are really hiding a lot of sadness...
