If you start a discuss , and someone give you a reply . Do
you want to add a comment ?
I think I will ,I believe this is a respect for him . He or she spend time reply your post . I will give my comment .
Although I can't give money for him . How about you ?

If someone takes the time to post on one of my discussions then I do my best to answer each post.
There are some rude comments at times that I just skip over but for the most part I try to comment on each post. Not only is it good manners, it makes me a few cents too.

I share the same thoughts. I usually leave a comment for every responses I get. I believe that in this high-tech age, it is some sort of a courtesy call for other myLotters. As you put it, it's a sign of respect for your fellow users.
It's not required of course, and there might be a time when I'm too busy to put comments to everyone's responses. But i'll try to put comments as much as I can.

I do try to always answer replies. I feel that it would be rude not to. And a lot of times i will not answer a discussion if the person never responds because i don't know if they even bothered to read it. No one should have to be paid for showing good manners. This is my opinion.

I try to, but sometimes when I get tons of responses I just run out of things to add. I agree it is respectful to acknowledge their post, but sometimes after 10-15 responses to responses on a subject you already talked about quite a bit in your opening post you just run out of things to say. So I respond until I have nothing more to say or until someone raises a new point. I do read and rate every response I get, though and I always give a best response a few days later so people know I was paying attention to the discussion they responded to.

It depends on the substance of the person's response. If it is just, "Yeah, I agree with you," What is there to respond to? If the person gives something that leaves an opening for a response, I will most definitely give one. I do believe in commenting where commenting is due.

I don't always have the time during the day that I would like, but when I start a discussion, I try to keep up with it and comment on as many responses as possible.
