I was thinking about this topic lately and the world at large I guess. Do you deep down inside consider yourself a moral person? What makes you so? Looking around, on and off the web I'm not really sure the majority of people are moral underneath the face that they show to the world. The rich get richer and the poor, well you know the rest. All my life I've tried to be moral from the inside out. Not always having success but truly trying to achieve that goal. Do the majority of people think as some politicians do that it's the outcome that matters and not the means to get there. I guess what I'm saying is the means justifies the end. This is a very important question that everyone should really take to heart. I think if we did the world would be a better place.

hi,
it takes more than thoughts to be a moral person and it is the deeds that a man performs that makes him moral. morality is not a quality that is to be cultivated in the course of time but it is inborn. the person has it in him. whether rich or poor anyone can be moral. you may be having sweet outcomes but the means do really matter. at the end of the day if you cannot sleep with a easy mind then you do not really deserve the outcomes.
this is my first post here at mylot and hope that this does not disappoint you.

Thanks sagarsamrat. I agree, a persons actions or non actions form the moral character of a person. But before an action occurs a thought must shape that action first. Parents must teach their children how to choose the moral path. I believe everyone has an internal moral compass you may call it a knowing, intuition, whatever you want. But we all know the difference between right or wrong. Unless of course there is a serious chemical imbalance or a sociopath type mindset.
