Why make money online?

I follow a lot of these online money-making discussions and it seems like some people are busting their butts for not much money. I mean, making $10 here requires a LOT of posting on MyLot and PTC only makes a few cents at a time and is BOR-ING. My experience checking out online money opportunities is that it would be faster and easier to get a job. Do you disagree? Why or why not? Why are you trying to make money online?

i got in a car accident and just had sergery to repair both legs and i am stuck in bed for months and months and have no way to earn money. I'm not expecting to live off of this, but when you are on the computer too long, you get bored and can never find anything to look at, so this is a good way to waste time is to let my feelings out. You know?

I tried paid surveys a while back, but I couldn't actually get anything out of it. Most sites didn't actually pay money and setting up with all the different sites is time-consuming, to say the least.

Sure, I agree. But one thing to consider is that some people can't work for whatever reason. It is great to have such opportunities for those people.

Well, as for me, I am doing it for fun. I have a dayjob so I can't post all the time. But you may also consider the fact that the members here are not only after of the earning but for fun, friendship and learning. Some online people are earning serrious money, but it does not happen on forum posting.

It may be faster and easier to get a job, but I really would rather stay home and take care of my grandmother. The last time she got ill I was blessed to be at home, and I got her to emergency before the stroke could do serious damage. When you work for someone else they decide if your calls are important enough to let you know immediately or when you go on your break. I don't spend much time posting but I do spend 2 or 3 hours looking for legit work at home jobs. This is a site I'm not quite sure why I joined.

Aww it's so good that you're able to take care of her. It's tough to find legit jobs - especially since internet marketing is becoming a job too, where ppl post stuff about how wonderful a thing is and you should buy it and then get a commission when someone does buy. As far as I'm concerned that stuff is worse than junk mail in the mailbox. As for why to join, at least Mylot is free to join, fun to use and talk to ppl and really does pay out eventually. It's cool and all, I just see a lot of emphasis here on the site on making money when Mylot doesn't actually seem like a good forum for that compared to other things like GPT or writing or the other things ppl have mentioned. Good luck in your search!

i am surprised that you are still here though.
in any case, i agree with you at some point. but not all people, i guess, would have the same vision in joining myLot. I proved to myself that it is a great way to destress and share my thoughts and ink it so people would read it.
earnings will follow.
no job is easy. work is work and you need to exert an effort for you to earn. some myLotters are enjoying... and I am sure you are.
good day!

Some of us actually have WAH jobs. I supplement my income with a few GPT sites. It works for me. Like with anything, you get out of it what you put in. Why am I trying to make money online, you ask? Because I actually have made money. Maybe not as much as I would have liked to be certain. But every little bit helps.

I post articles and do search regularly. So it is nice that those efforts make some tidy money. Not much, still better than nothing. Posting mylot is fun for exchanging information and knowing people.

I think most people that spend so much time online and trying to make extra money are those people that stay-at-home because they can not join the 8-5 workforce due to family obligations or health concerns. These people may be professionals and may have earned more if they work at a professional job.
Some may have started spending time online just browsing sites and reading forums but as soon as they know that they can get paid for doing these same things, then why not grab that chance. Earning new friends and earning extra money are a big plus too.
Some people do make a lot of money doing business online. Just like in any kind of work, it takes a lot of work and patience.

I earn online because I am disabled so getting a job is out of the question. Making money online can be tough depending on how you go about it. I enjoy the things I do to make extra money so it's more of a perk. I'm not going to get rich, but I make some fun money online. By building downlines I can also earn even when I am not online. So why not make some extra money from what I am already doing?
