So far John McCain has been tight lipped about his pool of potential choices for vp. I would like to see him offer the position to Condoleeza Rice, but she has said she has no desire for it. Who would you like to see on McCain's short list for choice of vp?

I wouldn't vote for McCain in a million years, so I have no interest in who he picks for the vice presidency. We need diplomacy in today's world, not more military action.

Not necessarily. There is a place for both, and given that the USA is already involved in military conflicts, I'd much rather see them resolved by achieving the purposes for which they were started, rather than pulling out the troops with a facade of diplomacy.

I'd like to see a real conservative. Someone like Duncan Hunter. Probably it will be someone I've never heard of before. Often times the VP is someone most have not heard of, like when Nixon chose Spiro Agnew.

So would I. It would go far in balancing out his ticket to reach out the conservative voters who view McCain as too liberal.

I'd like to see someone who has expertise in economic issues and Louisiana Governor, Bobby Jindal would be my choice - I don't live there, but he seems to be on his way to get that state's finances in order, and when he served in the U.S. House of Representatives, he was on a bi-partisan task force to reform medicare. Mike Bloomberg is another one I would like to see on McCain's short list, though his government experience is as mayor. Unfortunately, if McCain will challenge Obama on foreign policy experience, my two choices will also fall short.

It may be difficult for McCain the find the kind of well rounded vp he needs to cover all bases, but given the current climate in the area of foreign relations, I'd think he want someone with a high level of expertise in foreign affairs.

Possibly Huckabee? I would NOT like to see Rice, as she has been to much a "yes person" to Bush and he did a terrible job. She just went right along with it and it was WRONG.

I think Condi did her job, but it wouldn't be realistic to think McCain would choose Huckabee because he has so far shaken off the appearances that other ministers who endorsed him have anything in common with his policies, and Huckabee made it clear in his campaign that he doesnot intend on abandoning his principles for politics.

John Mccain will choose a surprise pick and it will be a young Conservative. The pick will be Gov. Jindal of Louisania who every Conservative in America loves. This will help Sen. MCcain with the Conservative base.

I'm not familiar with Gov. Jindal, but I am hoping McCain reaches out to conservative voters by choosing someone conservative.
