What do you do when you run into a noob asking for help? I usually try to help them the best I can. Sometimes they just ask for gold or speak in barely intelligable broken English, but I try to help them anyway. I think a little kindness goes a long way. How do you handle them?

I always help noobs..
Once we was also a noob, after talking to many experts we become good in something..
So i always give the basic guide, and tell them to do that way by themselves, so that they invent many new things on their way!

That's true. I was new at it once and didn't know what to do. I like treating other people like I would prefer to be treated.

I actually stopped playing a while ago. They've changed the game a lot since then so I guess I'd be one now too.

I agree with the above posters. I do think there are two types of n00bs in the game. The first, being a true person new to the game. I usually help these people out with information and give them helpful URLs to information sites about WoW. I don't, however, put up with begging for gold. I have never done it, and never give money away to people just asking for it out of the blue. The second type of n00b is a person who has been playing WoW for awhile, but is still doing dumb things, purposefully or not.

Noob? I think you are referring to newb or newbie(new user/player).
Just help them out and you never know, they might thank you in the end. Be a good sport, don't fuss over it.
