You wouldn't appreciate a movie when you wouldn't feel it. All the excitements came in when you put your shoes on the characters and in the situation of the film you are watching . After all, what is the worth of the movie/s when you won't put yourself in it you can't enjoy it :D

Hi there Vishweshwarp!
I do when I'm really focused in watching the film. Especially drama and horror films.

ya.. i used to feel for the characters in the movies as you said.
my sister also used to cry on seeing some emotional movies ... she also used to get frightened on seeing ghost stories ect.
actually saying movies depend only on reality... so there is nothing wrong in showing our emotions to them.
we do all these things out of our control even though we know they are unreal..

i think that the reason movies pull us all in so much is because not only can we relate to them, but they also leave off at the most perfect moments. movies are kind of like fairy tales in a way. you have your maiden in distress, and always a white knight. lol. for me, the reason i cry in some movies is because the emotions that they are acting out look so pure. almost as if they were having them for the first time. sometimes i cry because life is hard and it jades all of us to some degree. some worse than others.

Whwnever i see a movie i get completely immersed in it.
I cry when situation becomes sad in the movie.. i laugh when. i am move easily by sensitive and emotional movies...
The best movie i had liked so far is Blood Diamond. Its too bad to know that life in african diamond mines is so cruel...

There have been times when i have gotten emotional watching a movie. That is when i feel that the movie was good. Real good; when it comes to scary movies; I'm not easy to scare. They have to be really, really off the chain just to get me to jump in my seat. Now if the movie can do that then the movie is really good.

It depends on the writing. Without great writing there is no emotion. In fact, that's how you can tell if a movie is well made. It's not just the acting because you can have a decent actor repeating lines that are one dimensional. As I writer, I try to make the emotion known as soon as the characters open their mouths to speak.
