Why do girls BFF's change like every week?

I feel like girls will be best friends until a hot guy comes along that both girls are eying. One second the girls are BFF's and then the next second they are stabbing each other behind their backs and secretly hoping one trips and falls or has a bad hair day. If they are really your BFF, then why are you wishing such hurtful things on them and talking about them behind their back. Seriously though, one day you will see girls hanging out and telling each other you are sooo my BFF and then the next day you see them hanging out with a different girl telling them that they are their BFF! I just don't get it!!

My BFF and I have been friends since we were 10 years old. That was 38 years ago. We still go out for coffee and still confide in each other and there is no way a boy we both liked would get in the way of our friendship. You find a friend, a truly good friend, you never let anything get in the way of friendship.

I am not sure of why this is these days. However, several years ago when I was in school it didn't seem to happen as much.
My best friend and I have been friends for over 20 years and we never liked the same guy except for once at camp. He was just too hot to not like. However, we would never have fought over him- we would have been happy if he would have given either of us the time of day.
She is still like a sister to me although we don't see each other often and we don't have much time to talk as we have families that require a lot of our time. When we do talk, it is as if we haven't been apart. It is great and I can't imagine my life without her and I would never let a guy come between us.

YOU SAID IT!! GIRLS NOT WOMEN!! My BFF are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I get good solid Christian advice and they never take sides so if I have a problem at home I know I can count on them. We help each other through a lot of things. I am TRULY blessed. They are not just my friends they are my sisters.
