What is your favorite part of a magazine to read? When you pick up your fave magazine do you read it beginning to end or skip around?
Personally, I usually don't read the cover story of a magazine. I know that sounds weird, but usually the main hollywood star on the cover doesn't interest me much (unless I'm reading Alternative Press magazine, I usually love the bands they put on their cover). Usually when I pick up my favorite magazine, I start at the beginning and skim through it, stopping to read whatever interests me.
I like to read articles about beauty and fashion and things that are tips and tricks. I like reading about young bands that are up-and-coming in music magazines.

I'm not sure that I have a favorite part of any magazine. Having worked in a magazine publishing office, I tend to be fairly picky. I suppose it depends on which magazine I am reading and what the theme is for the issue. For instance, with a travel magazine I will read the articles on the destinations that interest me most, but if the entire theme of the magazine interests me (like Renaissance Magazine or Bookmarks), I will read from cover to cover.

I bet working in a magazine publishing office would lead to be being a bit picky. Reading only the destinations that interest you makes sense. It's kind of like when I read a music magazine and only read the bands that are ones I like (or think I'd like).

I read my favorite magazine cover to cover. Well, my favorite magazines are those for the scrapbookers, so I really take a good look of everything in it and read all the articles because I certainly will acquire a knowledge or two from it.
