I was just wondering how much tv you let your kids watch. Do you let them watch whatever they want or do you make them watch it only with you? I am trying to decide what I would like to do with my daughter who is quickly growing up. So far she has no interest in television what so ever but I know that will probably all change.

Well, our kids are home are already grown up. They don't watch television often. They are hooked up with their laptop all the time. Well, they are into movie watching but online. And they used to watch comedy or concert.
Well, when the kids are still graders, they need to have schedule of tv viewing. During class days, no,no to television. We as parents should also guide them of the appropriate movie to watch.

Yeah I wonder if them being on the laptop or the internet is that much better than television. I do think that the internet might actively engage their brains a little more. I like the idea of no television during the week. That way it will remain special as something to do on the weekends. I totally agree that their should be parental supervision in whatever they watch. Thanks!

My son is 8. He would watch television all night if I let him. On school nights he gets about an hour. On weekends and in the summer I will let him watch a little bit more. My daughter is 16 months old and not too interested in TV yet. She will watch Dora a few times a week. She is watching Shrek right now on a VHS tape right next to me.
