How effective is LASIK eye Surgery?

I have (myopia)nearsightedness since 6th grade and I have been told a million times to wear my glasses but I just don't feel comfortable wearing them.I also use contact lenses but it's eating my time to prepare every morning. My grade increases whenever I have my eyes checked and that my doctor told me I had to consider undergoing LASIK surgery if I still continue on not wearing glasses.
Has anyone had LASIK surgery? How was it? How did it affect you sight?

Hi,musecontrol. Sorry to respond to a discussion 2 months ago but i was not a mylotter then lol. My brother had his eyes undergone LASIK surgery ten years ago when he was in high school. He did a littler rearch on and offline and made this decision real quick. I accompanied him to a city famous for this kind of surgery and within minutes it was done. He rested for a few days and started to use computer. He now seems fine. There's not much side effects as we have speculated. Good luck to you.
