I would love to be skinny again. People decide who you are by your appearance. When you're larger, they assume you are lazy or gluttonous. Not only that, but when I eat healthy I feel better, more full and more energetic. When I eat sweets all the time, I always feel hungry. I think junk food doesn't satisfy the hunger.

Junk food only temporarily satisfies hunger in the same way sweets fulfil a sugar rush. Your body works uses the fat but there is little nutritional value left. My guess is that these foods lack in carbohydrates which are generally known for leaving you fuller for longer because of the starch, but I am no nutritionist. My point is that you will indeed feel fuller for longer if you continue to eat healthily.
It is also the case that a lot of judgments are made about people who are slim, and sometimes even more offensive questions such as "Do you have an eating disorder?" are asked. Though probably less frequent than insults used against people who are larger, it doesn't mean that being slim will stop these judgments being made altogether.

It's funny you say that. I totally forgot that when I weighed 116 lbs (5'6") that people would ask me if I was sick or if I was an addict. Your right, I guess everybody gets insensitive questions.

if i was fat i wouldnt be happy even though could eat what i want lol I would feel bloated, uncomfortable due to excess fat and lack energy.. if much junk food then ny hair and skin would also suffer, and not to mention my confidence in myself
i would say skinny becuase eating healthy foods dont make you unhappy, if anything you feel great, inside and outside and lively

I'd rather be chubby, by my body is happier when I'm a little heavier. To quote Margret Cho "Losing 10 pounds for me is a full-time job and I'm turning my pink slip and walking out the door." Fat people cannot eat whatever they want, we must still worry about health conditions and illnesses.

I would prefer to be skinny and "painfully" eat only healthy foods. I eat more healthily than the average teenager as it is, I'm quite partial to my fruit and vegetables and tend to skip on the snacking. However, being able to eat what I want does not make me happy. My figure makes me happy. Looking in the mirror and not hating myself makes me happy. I'm thankful in that I don't have a lot of self-consciousness about my body and I wouldn't like to create any.
This means that my only options would be "Eat what I want and get fat and be unhappy," or "Eat what I eat anyway and be slim and happy." Given this, my choice would be obvious...

I think it is healthier to be thin. But I don't think it is painful to eat healthy. It is like anything else. A habit you get yourself into. Besides there is a better chance of longer life trying to be healthy. And I want to stick around as long as I can. Plus you can have a treat now and again. Everything in moderation is the key.

Hi Alanna, welcome to mylot and have a happy stay here. Well it is a hard choice: be happy or be painfully lol. I think that I will rather be skinny and eat what I want. I never made a diet and I am not fat and I never will make a diet because I think that life is too short to be painfully about don't eat what we want. Only in case of health (allergies, etc.).

Now this is kind of situation where you have two options:
1. Fat but happy because you can eat whatever you want
2. Skinny but painfully
well I choose:
3. Slim and happy and able to eat whatever I want.
Think out of the box! :)
