do you believe there are racist people out there??

Of course there are racists out there....and there will be unfortunately until the end of time...Have I ever dealt with any? LOL yea, being a mixed race woman I've dealt with it from both the black community and the white community BUT not nearly as much back home (in Canada) as I have since moving here to NY...in fact back in Canada i didnt deal with it at all until I was in my late teens and started traveling for work..Why are racists liek that? More often than not its one of two things...something happened to them and they now have a distaste (unjustified of course) for the entire race...(for example a person of one race is raped/mugged/carjacked etc etc by a person of another race)...OR they were raised in a racist home (ever see the movie American History X?)

I do believe that there are plenty of them still lurking from around the world. I just hope that they learn to accept that they are just as equal as everybody else.

In my country, racism isn't much rampant unlike other countries which has great history on it. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean that it wasn't there at all. In fact, it is there at all times. Yes, I have also come across with people who think they are superior than other skin color are, white-black, white-brown (me being Asian) athough, there are those who have no bone to be frank or being outspoken to you, still the way they look, the way they treated a short, brown Filipino with a lesser value than they are. I have encountered several of that kind both in person and even online. What I think of them? Honestly? I pity them, yes, because they are the kind of people who stares at his own self in the glass beholding his own self.
