When it comes to opening emails..

When it comes to opening emails I only open emails that I am familiar with. If I get a random email from a friend that isn't currently in my address book, I usually just delete it! There are some certain emails in which i'll open the email but for the most part, i'll just delete it. I feel that it's a lot safer this way, 'specially for emails that give you trojans, try to steal your passwords or personal information, and etc. In most cases those one's usually require you to go to a website that may be familiar to you such as a bank you're a part of or people pretending to be the IRS. It's better to go to the site directly then to follow an email there. That way there is no risk involved! What about you, how do you decide which email deserves to be open, and which doesn't? Do you do the same as me and go directly to sites to check about notifications n' such or do you rely on your email to give you all the notifications you need and no, I don't mean just for Mylot, I mean in general! =O

I will not open any mail unless I am fimilar w/ whom sent it whether it be a friend or from my work place then I know it's safe to open it. As for any other e-mails I won't follow no link to the site I will go to my favorites and pull it up that way I know if it's them that sent it or not type in my user name and pass word and find out if they are the ones that sent me that specific e-mail and if not I go back to my e-mail and delete it immediately.
