Anyone worried about the recession scare?

Just wanted to know if anyone was as concerned as me, and if anyone is really trying to make some extra money in case this so called recession gets worse. Also wanted to know if anyone sees any signs or changes in their towns. Some of the smaller businesses in my town have been closed for example.
