trying tom avoid hard feeling and schedule changes but I've given these people two weeks to find my replacement. I need to go these would be my last week according to the two week notice clause so let me go. How would you quit your job? I'm tempted just never to go back again but they come to my house I live too close. I want to flip out on them but they are really nice people job just sucks... How would you quit?

Grab a blank piece of paper... Write in big letters, "I quit as of (date)!" Usually works for me... One of the jobs I had when I was younger, I remember telling my manager at the time, "I'm taking a vacation!" and he asked me, "When do you wanna take it?" So I told him, "Starting right now, I'm going on my permanent vacation!", then never went back...

Pretty much what I did. I wish I had foreseen the shift in the economy but I left for a good reason. I actually considered taking a chance in asking for my job back but I am ok now. Wow this is an old discussion!

It's ok to quit your job if you aren't happy. No one will harbor ill will against you because you are not happy. I would give a notice and work it out. This way you don't burn any bridges if you ever need to go back. They will also givee you a good future referance. That can be very important. There are some jobs that just are not for us.
