I was dying my hair with a good company dye product only. Still I noticed it was hitching on the edge of my hair line of the head and I started loosing hair there. Then I left dying my hair. After five years, again I dyed with very good company dye product again the whole head was hitching and I started loosing hair. Hence I thought it is not suiting me and I left it. What about you? Do you dye your hair?

i don't dye my hair. and i don't want to try it. maybe because i know that after a certain amount of time, the color would fade away.
I think its not bad for the health except that you get to smell it when your hair is dyed. so better do it in an open place.
also, when you are pregnant, its not advisable to dye your hair because it will be harmful to your baby.
many thanks!

Hello buchi_bulla. I rarely dye my hair. Yes, hair dyeing is bad for your health. They say it causes cancer because of the chemicals being used in the product.

I dye my hair but very rarely....It is very bad for your health unless you can get one that is made from natural ingredients, but I know if that exists!

I dye my hair every six weeks or so. My hair grows so fast and it is originally blonde, but I dye it red so if I don't dye it that often, I'll have a blonde streak down the center of my head! I use cheap dye from WalMart, I think it's ColorSilk or something like that. But, I haven't had any trouble with it at all. I've been dying my hair for about 15 years and have never had any trouble. I guess everybody is different.

Always make sure you are using natural hair dye such as tea otherwise the side effects are really enevitable such as affecting your eyesight, loss of hair, drying up the hair and a lot others.

In India we use henna, which is the powder of the leaves of a shrub which gives red colour when applied on hands and legs. Our brides put designs with this paste on hands and legs at the time of marriage. I tried to put that photo of the hand with mehendi design. I am not getting it. But this henna changes the hair colour to orange. That is why I do not like that.

I color my hair. I am in my early 50s and almost white I have 2 teenage kids at home and not ready for white hair. My hair looks so much better and shinier, with more body when I clor it. I think you must be allegic to something in the color you used.

I dye my hair to cover gray, and I've been doing it for a very long time. I know it's not certain as to whether or not it's bad for us and I probably should stop. I have noticed that my hair has gotten a lot thinner than what it used to be, but my hair was very thick to begin with. I'm worried that if I keep dying my hair, I'll start getting bald spots when I'm older. I need to quit dying it but I have a lot of gray and my daughter throws a fit whenever she sees roots on my head!
