I am in China. Most of the families have only one child now, and so as my family.
Since 1980s, China has the birth control policy ,also known as family planning because of overpopulation. The latter phenomina is the result of the idea "More people ,More strength" since the liberation of China.
However, the policy is changing with the time. Now if one only child marry another only child ,they could have two babies. Due to the high educational expenditure, most famligy prefer to only one child. It must be totally different from other country.

My older sister and I are about 3 years apart. I also have a baby sister who is 23 years younger than I am. She was adopted by my father and stepmother not long after they got married. It's strange having a sister so much younger than me. She feel like more a of niece or a cousin than an actual sister.

I'm the oldest in the family and I have two younger brothers and each of them is 1.5 years gap from me. So I and my youngest bro is three years old gap between us. I think I admire my parents to carefully arrange child-birth in our family. And I do hope I could do this in the future.

Two years here between me n my sister ,but we have never really got on much.We are very different people and have different interests to.As kids we never played together to much and we never went anywhere together unless we had to .We had separate mates and separate hobbies, she loved horse riding and I loved books and music.

Well me and my sis are more or less, 1 year apart. And we r the best of frendz. But i have a question for you, there was quiet a huge gap, so how do u view ur sister as? very close frendz, or an elder sister type? Just wanted to know, my son is almost 3 yrs and i think its gonna be a little longer than usual for him to have a sibling again..so does gap matter?

well...
i have 2 sisters and 3 brothers...
i am 18 this year and my older sister is a year older.
my younger sister is 4 years younger and my brothers are 12, 4 and 3...
so...
yeah...
alot of kids...and the age difference is rather wide...
my sisters and i usually help our parents to look after the kids when she is busy...
so i guess that that will help us when we have our own kids later in life...

I have two older brothers and one older sister the differences in age are respectivley 13 yrs, 12 yrs and 7 yrs. The main reason for such a large gap in age is that my parents married young and had my two brothers very early in their marriage and so close together and then after only a few years they had my sister. it was in their 30's, still young that they decided to have one more child, meeeeeeee.... yayyyyyyy!!!!! Good decision mom & dad.

My sister is 5 years older than me, and I am 4 years older than my brother. But as time is relative, that gaps don't mean that much are seem so bad when you get older. Now we're 55, 50, and 46.
