Most of us assume that we go to college in order to be educated,to become scholars, and be useful to society when we complete our studies.Of course, this is true ,but it is more than that,We go to college not only to learn knowledge, but to prepare ourselves for the real world ,for college is society in miniature. Thus, it teaches us how to handle relationships between different kinds of people later.College life provides many activities, which is a stepping stone in the real way.
Some of us tend to go to extremes. We are either too fond of studies and become bookworms or too much time occupied by campus activities. The former students, doubtless, are star pupils at college but not likely to be successful in their career because they lack the knowledge of real human beings and their range of interst is too narrow. The latter, since they lack the basic knowledge of science and humanities, are not likely to succeed, either. Thus we must steer the middle course between these two extreames.

frankly speaking, if i had choices, i wouldn't wanna go to college. cause i find what the teachers teach us in college is useless in society. i major in Tourism Management. and i have to study so many kinds of courses. even one of our teachers said 90% of what we learned now was useless after we graduate. i always think there's something wrong in China's education system. we are always learning knowledge that's not practical. now more and more graduates can't even find a job. and you know the tuition of university is very high. i don't like my major, actually i am interested in languages, but i can't change the major. that's the rule of our university. i hate it. sometimes i just don't know what to do. where is my future?
