Have you lost a sister?

I had lost my sister when she was just 25. I was much younger than her and was staying in a hostel at that time. My family had not mentioned to me that she was sick and was suffering from brain cancer. I had attended my best friends wedding on that day and had just come back from the reception. Before I could even remove my shoes by brother rang the door bell. He had come to tell me that our sister had expired that evening. For nearly ten years after that I did not attend a single wedding outside the family.
