It's no contest Edd. The Mac wins every time. You get a stabe operating system that is virus (but not spyware) free. The OS is the same whatever machine you sue, not Hone, Home Premium, small business or whatever you choose to buy with Vista. No need to "authenticate" the software to make it work either. Macs come with some fabulous software for the "artist" in you. It will run MS Office or Apple's own iWork 2008 (at a fraction of the cost and everything that you are likely to want). Perhaps the biggest selling point though is that a Mac just looks good. Sleek, stylish and reliable. Everything is integrated and is easy to use. What more could you need. Go try one. Oh, and I am not connected with Apple at all. Just an enthusiastic convert. Happy computing.

yes you are right, but we know that there are alot of software that will not work with Mac. Another thing is that with pc you have more choices of models you can pick from. Mac also has some type of monopoly since there stuff is all about them

That's all true. However, what software do you want to run? All new Macs will run both Windows and Apple software through a conversion programme. You have a wider selection of PCs to choose from, but spec for spec they cost about the same as a Mac and I have yet to see one that looks as cool. Apple does have a monopoly, not doubt a about it. Just as well their software and hardware is head an shoulders better than anyone else's. But don't take my word for it. Go to an Apple Store and see the products in action.

Not true anymore Edd. There are at least two pieces of software that allow you to transfer music from you iPod to your Mac computer. Personally I use something called iPod Rip but there is another one whose name I can't remember.
