Does it bother you when someone always blames other people and never accepts that it is there fault? For instance my boss always blames us for lost charts or files only to find them on her messy desk hours later, no apology given of course. Does this happen to anyone else and if so have you ever confronted them?

When I was a secretary I always make it my point of duty to know where the files are. There are times when a file will be in my boss office for days and then he will call and ask for it. I let him know that it is right in his office. If you know that you have a messy boss, this what you should do. Files that you know is in his/her office for more than one week you put them together one side of her desk. The recent on is beside it. Then she will know that you are interested in help keeping her desk clean and tidy. Putting interest in what is happening and organizing her work life will enable you to have nice increase in salary. Now I am very outspoken so if I am accuse wrongfully I let you know upfront. You see where ever I work, I always have 30 minutes session with my boss. Get to know what you like and what I do not like. This always work for me. So at the beginning they know what type of person I am.

That works good in a job like yours where your boss will let you touch her desk, I am not allowed to go near my boss desk. But thanks for the suggestion.

i think the reason why people will blame others for their mistakes. it makes them look bad. it easier to not to admit they u failed. they dont want others to think less of them.
