When Do You Write??

I live on a very quiet street and the peace and quiet of the very early morning is my most treasured time to write. When my kids were home, I used to get up at 5:30 am, make coffee, and sit on my front porch swing with not another soul around. The chirp of the birds, the sun coming up, insects scraping their violin-type tunes were the most inspirational moments then. After the kids went to school, I used to write for a while, but I have just only written for my personal enjoyment. I did write some stories about my kids, and to this day, when I read them, I still laugh, cry, and guffaw, appropriately. Have any of you written stories about your kids? Would love to hear some!
