I lost contact with my best friend a few years ago. We both had been going through a lot of life changes and we were always long distance friends but it has been over 2 yrs now with no contact with her. I have looked for her online and tried to find addresses or phone numbers with no luck so far.
Is there anything that I haven't tried yet?
Thanks!

You can try myspace and facebook, and other social sites like that if you haven't yet. I have a similar situation with my former best friend...my family and I movedout of state when we were both 14, now I'm turning 18 next week; finally the age I am free to move back to where we grew up, but we have not been in contact for about a year now. We kind of had a falling out/drifting apart. :/

yeah, I have tried myspace and facebook but I figure everyone gets sucked into them eventually so I will just do a search for her every once in a while and maybe I will get lucky one of these days.
Thanks!

Hi Lisaradgirl! Lost your best friend.... What about family members, that is where I would start. As best friends, bet you know where she was born, something about her family. Remember conversations, get a clue, sounds like you have a research job here....LOL! Try the school (classmates) she graduated from, state, city she is from. If you do not have any phone numbers, try the last name, parents, call.... most people will be nice, try to help, if they think you are sincere. Best of luck on the research!

yeah, i haven't been on classmates in a very long time. I used to pay for the membership so I could email people but, I don't know if I want to do that or not. I might if I get desperate enough. I never really knew her family much so I can't contact them. I won't stop trying though, thanks!

Don't you know anyone who is a relative or close friend other than you who have information. You can also go to the last school she attended and see if there is any forwarding address for her. If there is one then you can ask then to send a note letting her know that you would like to be in touch with her. You can also publish it in the newspaper and see if someone will answer you back.
Good luck.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

No, I don't have current info on her mom either, i think she might have gotten married too so I don't even know what last name she is going by. I have thought about the newspaper idea, I should give that a try.
Thanks!

The name may have changed by now. That would make your quest a bit harder. And although so many people can be tracked easily online, it doesn't work for everybody, especially if the person is not very active online. Unless you are willing to pay for a service to find her you will have to be patient and keep trying. If you know some other common friends or family or neighbors where she used to live, you might want to inquire with them. You may get lucky and somebody knows something.
Keep trying! Good luck!

yeah, I have thought about paying for a service but then decided not to. She is bound to show up online somewhere eventually. I know she has never been very active online but it's unavoidable, she will have to have an email address or get sucked into myspace one of these days, lol.
Thanks!

I know it sounds crazy,but
if your desparate for finding her,
you can go on a television show
like missing people or so,
You have to keep trying it's not evryday you find a good friend like her,
And I know she's trying 2
because good friends last forever and don't worry,
you will find someday,somewhere,somehow!!
with love,
ropsie
