Do you try to lengthen your posts because you think you will get paid more?

I notice that some people write really long (and boring) replies where they just state the obvious and repeat themselves ten times over. Do you do this? Or do you just write whatever and not worry about the length? I know it says to be as desriptive as possible but sometimes it just gets pointless lol

Your last sentence is correct according to the myLot guidelines. If you start a discussion that requires a "one" word or number response, you run the risk of getting your discussion deleted.

No I just write, sometimes I write a lot because I have a lot to say. I hate the really long ones that are cut and paste a long thing they found on line.

me too! Sometimes you want to have a meaningful discussion, but there's nothing that interesting going around

For me, I often write really long replies because, to be perfectly honest, I'm not very good at summing up what I'm trying to say in a short response. I haven't been on mylot long enough to have realized that length had anything to do with pay, although that certainly makes sense.

I;m not sure that it does, it just seems that some people seem to think so by their long and garbled answers. I don't mind long answers as long as they are worthwhile, and not just filling up space to try and get more money

It is interesting now that myLot have changed the payment method as I am finding that some people put in these really long replies that have nothing at all to do with the discussion in the hope that their earnings will increase. I find it most annoying really, but they will still get paid for it unless they are reported to myLot for spamming.

It doesn't change the earning if you type more and this is coming from somebody who as been on here for a few weeks to know

Depends on the Post. Sometimes I feel I have a lot to say, and then other times a couple of words is all I need.

LOL you are so honest!! long and boring replies? LOL! well, i will try to write whatever that comes to mind, it might be more than 2 lines, it may even exceed 5 lines. im very choosy when it comes to responding to discussions.

I do not answer with one or two words as I do not think that constitutes a discussion and it is also against the guidelines. Sometimes my posts might get a bit long but I to try to make quality posts and not to repeat myself at the same time. I guess that is why I have a number of 'best responses' to discussions, because I do respond appropriately to a discussion. If I am not interested in something, then I don't bother to respond.

I hate just putting a simple yes or no, so I try to add a little bit more to my posts. I also try not to overdo it though. I didn't realize mylot paid more for longer posts?? I do know that they get very picky about one word posts though.
