Telamarketers harassment or just plan advertising??

Depending on where you live, there are usually regulations regarding this. In the United States, telemarketers are unable to call your home after 9:00 PM. If they do, you should call your phone company, report them and press charges for harassment. Also, for those who live in the United States, there is a Do Not Call list that telemarketing companies are required to purchase and use. If you add your name to that list, and they call you after you have been added and waited the few weeks that it takes for the list to update, you can also press charges against them. Wow! It sounds as though there are no regulations to stop this where you are. In UK there are regulations and we have the TPS which allows you to register phone numbers so telemarketers can't phone them. They are also not allowed to call after 9pm at night. I think the telemarketers just keep calling you back because they are under such a lot of pressure to get sales, etc.

Well, I get more calls from bill collectors than telemarketers but I have gotten some in the past and they can be very annoying and they never seem to take no for an answer.
