I'm sure your mom always told you not to crack your knuckles b/c it can cause arthritis. This is not true, it actually helps prevent arthritis. Let me start with what happens when you crack your knuckles: when you crack them all it is, is nitrogen bubbles in between your joints that pop and that creates the cracking sound. It prevents arthritis b/c when you look at what arthritis is, it is when extra cartilage builds up in an area, and when you pop the bubbles it keeps it from building up. This research has been done first by a University(not sure which one) and then after that, by many scientists and it has been proven correct that it will not cause arthritis and may actually help prevent it. If you ended up getting arthritis it is not because of cracking your knuckles it is a another reason because arthritis is hereditary.
SO TO ALL YOU KNUCKLE CRACKERS OUT THERE, GO AHEAD AND CRACK YOUR KNUCKLES!

Hello lilsponge! You sure about this? Any articles to prove it? I'm a knuckle craker.. I can't seem to stop though, it's a habit lol. I had never heard anything about it, being able to cause arthritis, just know that it will make my knuckles big (and ugly..)

look at what lilybug said...but you can always search the internet and find some reliable sources. The belief used to be that it would cause arthritis, but this had never been tested to be true, but now that they tested it they found it to be false.
