The hamster likes to be spritzed with cool water. She goes up on the food level of her cage and spreads out against the cool plastic. The dog gets plenty of cool water but she also loves ice cubes. Then when she is too hot we hose her down with cool water in the yard. She LOVES that. She gets all energetic for awhile each time. She bounces around the room.It is funny. Then it is back to the stone tiles to spread out. Poor baby, Dogs don't sweat except through their paws and also try to cool off by panting. The heat is hard for them.
