HELP! I am 22 years old, I have a husband, a house, a dog, and a full time job and do tons of volunteer work. I really need to find a cookbook or website or something that can help me come up with ideas of quick and easy meal ideas so that I can cook instead of eating out! Are there any sites like this out there? I'm talking super simple, but healthy, good tasting meals!

Toss something into the crockpot in the morning and when you come home form wotk, it will be waiting there for you and the hubby!
Trust me..I was in college full time, raising 3 kids and had a full time job! I had 2 dogs, 3 guinea pigs and fish..and I home-schooled the kids. I don't know HOW I managed, but a tight schedule, a good budget and the crockpot saved the day!!
The kids are grown up now and all doing great, one having a baby in a week and marreid well/happy, two boys in college! There are some good crock pot cookbookds at the book store. Use one and you'll save plenty of time! AND you'll eat well. On days off, go ahead and cook or bake? But otherwise..a good crockpot can save the day!
And they're FAST rto toss stuff into? I put a little 1/4 can of chicken broth in the bottom, a little sour kraut wiht brown suger on it..lay a pork loin on top and more sour kraut w/brown sugar and then close it up and bake all day on low! When you come home..the stuff is great and took about 5 minutes! EASY! (If you have to, potato buds and a quick can of corn and a fruit? You have a 5 minute, balanced meal!)

Wow, you are a busy gal! Try the Food Network website at www.foodnetwork.com/food/f_quick_easy/. These are quick and easy recipes you can print directly from your computer. Rachael Ray is another search you could do. She features recipes that are on the table in 30 minutes or so.
Do you own a crock pot? Believe me, busy families need one! Walmart carries nice ones (6-quart) for about $30-$35. Thrift stores and garage sales are also another great source for crock pots (slow cookers). If you buy one new, a cookbook will likely accompany it. If not, you can find tons of slow cooker recipes online that have 5 or fewer ingredients. This way, dinner cooks during the day. In the evening, add a quick salad or side dish (or just cook the veggies in with the meat in the slow cooker) and voila, dinner is served! Your house will smell great too!
Consider getting an inexpensive 3-ring binder to keep recipes you like for quick and easy access when you're in a hurry.
Your local library might be a good source for cookbooks too. Just search for "quick and easy" recipes or the like.
Best wishes to you! It does get easier, really! (Juggling everything, I mean). :)

Yes, I agree with the first response - I'm 25 with three kids and a husband and also do tons of volunteer work and was working full time and going to school part time up until November of last year when I had my third child. I totally love The Food Network and also you should look into Rachael Ray's cookbooks - all recipes you can make in 30 minutes. Easy to prepare.

oh dear you are in the thick of activity. and you need a cook definitely . but you are advised to verify the credentials of the person you engage thoroughly in advance.since you are going to be in the family way i wish, soon so you must take enough care about your diet and the quality of food you are going to eat all this while.

One word...CROCKPOT! There are tons of good recipes for it. You dump a bunch of stuff in it in the morning, then, when you get home you have a meal ready to go. I posted a link to a ton of good recipes.

My sister bought a slow cooker recipe book that used 5 ingredients or less in every meal. So when she went to cook - she always made a slow cooker meal, resulting in having to cook every other day instead of every day.
Or set some time aside one day a week and do all of your cooking then, you and your husband can even do it together - a nice relaxing activity to simplify both of your lives.

You sound very busy. I find when I'm busy I tend to wait til a weekend then make a bunch of chilli or stew or something i can start in the slow cooker and leave. Then i put it in the freezer for during the week.
I also tend to go to allrecipes.com and search for ideas there. I like the fact that i can do an ingredient search of what i have and see what i can make with it. (sometimes they show you really awesome meals!)
