Articles of Impeachment Being Read Right Now!

As I write this the articles of impeachment against President Bush are being read on the House Floor, brought up by former Presidential candidate, Representative Dennis Kucinich. I know, it's not going to go anywhere, but is there anyone else here that wishes it would have been done a long time ago, before it was too late, and that they'd have taken the D1ck Cheney along with Bush? There are 35 articles being read right now. Constitutional attorney Jonathan Turley said on Countdown that while some of them may not actually be impeachable offenses there are certainly plenty that are and that having done nothing about them will not be looked on kindly by history. Any thoughts? I figure this could be a REALLY fun discussion...lol! Annie

So congress is going to waste our time and tax dollars on a pathetic attempt at impeachment hearings that are completely irrelevant and can't even conclude before the president leaves office anyway. Annie, you cried about wasted tax dollars on the Clinton impeachment. I can't help but notice you don't have any problems with this one even though it can't possibly achieve the outcome you want and is really nothing more than an attempt for Kucinich to get in the spotlight.

Yeah they just need to kick him out of office already. People have been calling for his impeachment for years but no one wants to challenge him and I don't understand why. Everyone was up in arms when Clinton slept with an office aide, but Bush lies to the country, manipulates the law, refuses to give up documents and no one says anything to him. Challenge him and just get rid of him right now.

Oh gods yes I wish he was out of office. He should have been out of there ages ago. I can't believe no one pushed for it earlier because having him in there for so long has just screwed us over.

Woohoo! That's good news, even if it won't actually go anywhere. I'm in a snarky mood today and can't wait to tell s/o about 'his' president. That's how I refer to him when talking to s/o...he voted for the guy, I didn't. But anyway, I agree it should have been done a long time ago. Even if it never actually got him out of office it may have been the heads up he needed to realize that he needed to get it together. Up until about 5 years ago, I was still on his side somewhat, saying he was doing the best he could with the situation he was given, but then all this other nonsense has happened and what has he really done about it?

Seriously, Don't these law makers have better things to do than to discuss something that they know is going to be a has been in a very short time? Do you honestly think that the House should be wasting their time with such babble? Well, I guess it is better that they are wasting time on this nonsense rather than doing more harm to the US! Just goes to show how the Dem's can get 'er done when they are in power! Keep pointing fingers and don't bother to try and fix the many problems that we have here in the States, Nancy!

I think spending time on this particular subject on the House floor is a giant waste of time. No only do we know that it isn't going anywhere, but we have many many other more important things to deal with. For example, authorizing drilling in ANWR to reduce our dependence on foreign sources. Once again, Kucinich is attempting to get his 15 minutes in the spotlight after the conclusion of the primaries in the desperate hope that he will be chosen as a VP nomination.

Wasting time on authorizing drilling in ANWR would be just as big a waste of time and a much bigger waste of money to have to wait 10 years to get enough oil to reduce the price of gas by 4 cents a gallon for 6 months or less. I just heard that on Fox News, too! Annie

Getting the process started 10 years ago when it was first brought up would have reduced the situation we are in today. It is our responsibility to ensure our future and the future of our children. There are a plethora of issues out there that are more important than bringing up impeachment articles against your party leaders will, just because you can.

Or we could just forget about saddling our children with...what, $10 a gallon prices by then?...and actually push for alternative fuels for them to rely on.

I think if there were any impeachable offenses it would have been down long ago. I think the communists have nothing to go on and are just trying to make things harder for McCain. Oh, that's right... you are in denial about the communist forces within the democrat party. Guess what, it ain't going to happen. This is nothing more than a pathetic attempt by a pathetic loser from a party of pathetic losers that care ore about enslaving America with their socialist agenda. I think you should be more worried about vetting the Obamoron.

We can't impeach Bush on the grounds that he is stupid and has ruined this country more than his dad did. If it were on those grounds I would say yes. Fill me in if you could on his impeachable offenses and I'll let you know. I have heard there were talks of impeachment but it is too late now, he is almost done. (But not soon enough) That's all I know on this one.

my thoughts are why in heavens name did not they bring all this up months back instead of waiting until now a nd a new election. he certainly deserves to be impeached and I am all for it but it seems odd to be doing this now. It should have been brought up years back before the iraq war has taken over.
