Do You Know Anyone With Autism?

Yes, I know someone with autism, my oldest son. What about you silentlyscreaming? Do you know someone with autism? And if so, who? Is this how your user name came about?

My son has been diagnosed with autism under the aspergers umbrella. He was diagnosed in kindergarden. He is 15 years old now and has come a long way since being diagnosed.

I have a cousin who is autistic he is grown already and is working already. He was diagnosed to be mild and is now able tow work but is not able to function normally. He is given task that are routinary and cannot work if his routine is changed. My also had a nephew who is diagnosed to be highly autistic. They say amongst the 10 symptoms this kid has 9 of them. He is non verbal and tantrums a lot. He is being tutored at home by a special education teacher since the schools here for sped cases are not able to provide him the needed teachings. He is given a special teaching at home.

I don't know anyone personally with it. I do have a very good friend who has a son that has it though.
