It has been always a part of every pack of cigarettes the warning " Cigarettes smoking is dangerous to your health " but it seems like smokers does not mind at all or give any care. In public they do not seems to care if somebody got sick because of the smokes they puff continuously. It is proven that non smokers are more affected by inhaled nicotine from other smokers. Oh my! the reason why other people don't smoke is because they care for their health but they are still the victim of uncaring smokers all around. There are notices in public that no smoking allowed in any particular area but no one is mindful.
Somehow, there are mylotters here that are smokers, are you affected by public notices? if so, what are your approaches to avoid conflict?

I am a smoker and, yes, I am affected by some public notices. But, I can refrain from smoking in places where it is prohibited. If I do smoke in public, it is in the smoking section of a restaurant, and there aren't many of those left. Mostly, the restaurants I go to still allow it because they are local and we are all a bunch of rednecks here in my small town in PA and most of us do smoke. I understand people's concerns about second hand smoke and I don't smoke if it offends someone I'm near. But, as far as my health, that's my choice. I've been smoking for about 15 years now, I'm not likely to quit and I'm still reasonably healthy. I just figure, it's my right to smoke, just don't do it where it would be considered offensive.

Hi miller! that's the best response. I can say that you were such a good example. Ofcourse it is our own choices to smoke or not to smoke but it is also our responsibility to do the best thing for others or satisfying our self while respecting others right.

Hi!!!
To me,smoking is not such a serious offence. But it should be avoided in public places like schools or hospitals.
