ya..nowadays internet has become one important thing as we get all information just by sitting at one place.. our technology has improved a lot such that we can't live without laptop,messenger,ect...
for these changes we can't blame the youngsters also by saying its an addiction.. instead we can say its necessary ..

Almost always, my computer and internet are on 24/7. The first thing I do upon waking up is check my mail and same goes before I hit the bed at nights. Now, is that reason enough to qualify myself as an addict? :-)
Well, I definitely say not! I believe it all depends as to what our purpose is in going and staying online.
There are so many benefits we can get from the internet if we only know how to make good use of it.
Now, say one gets online only for the sole reason of chatting, day in and day out, even to the extent of skipping meals and bath just to chat -- i think, for me, that is a serious symptom of addiction.
