Garry's Mod not known enough

When I joined Mylot yesterday there was not a single discussion about Garry's mod. Now Gmod is a great mod to Half life 2 (www.garrysmod.com) Thing is bearly many people know of it and there is not many servers online to play multiplayer (if you wish to do that) what I also fear is the same happening to other games. What some companies miss is advertising their game so the whole world knowns about it and they can get the full amount they want. Are their any great games that you many know but others don't if so do post them :)
