working from home

I know that working from home on the internet is a real option. I have friends who do it and I have applied to their companies, but they aren't recruiting at the moment. I have been searching on the net for an opportunity, but I keep hitting my head against the brick wall that is the scam ads wanting me to pay for "training". I am getting a bit fed up with it, to be honest, but I need some extra work over the summer. My other problem is that I need something where I can choose the hours as I live in Spain, so many of the opportunities I did find were US based and either I wasn't eligible because I am not American, or the hours were for when I am asleep! IS there anyone who can help me find anything, or what are your experiences looking for online work?
