Cyber crime is eventualy creeping nowadays that it has a become a trend to those evil techy people.According to the study of Internet Crime Report of 2006, there were 207,492 complaints of online fraud all over the world. The highest fraud attributed to the so called Nigerian Letter fraud ($5,100)( I don't know why it's called Nigerian fraud) followed by check fraud victims ($3,744) and investment fund ($2,695). The cyber crimes started out from communication through email (73.9%) and webpages (36%). Creepy right?
Are you one of the victims? Have you been scammed online?

Im the lucky one in this case. Online security is my business. Its very saddening to see the Internet experience we enjoy trashed by those would would take advantage of the casual user.

I haven't been scammed through email before though I have received tons of scam emails. But I have been scammed quite a good number of times through other means like participating in hyips, auto-surfing programmes and those programmes where you invest your money for a return. Having been bitten so many times, I have learned to stop participating in such programmes, but I still keep to a few which are still ongoing. Hopefully these do not turn into scams also. I am still discovering ways to earn money without being scammed.

Thanks for the link. I'll keep that in mind. I have come across a couple of sites like this where people with skills post their experience, and companies looking to hire help contract work to freelancers who match their skill requirements. I am actually more inclined to look for passive ways of earning through those set and forget kinds of schemes. There are such opportunities out there. The challenge is to find the right ones that can really make money. I have tried affiliate marketing but have only limited success so far.

The only time that I was scammed was by Paid.vg. But it was really not too much of a amount.
Cheers.

i have been scammed once by an email of UK lottery. I am sorry i have deleted that email so cannot share it with you,
However, i guess there no shortcuts to success and hence ignore any mail which says this much money in this much time.
