Eating dogs: It's a crime!

We all know that dogs are loyal friends to human but in some countries like mine they aren't treated as one.
You'll never see a lost dog in the streets n there's no such thing like an animal shelter because if a dog got lost n he's not from a "special" breed he's surely going to be killed for food!
So what do you think about this? I know, it's cruel.

Yeah I agree dogs are loyal friends,not food,and I think it should be outlawed in every country,because it is a crime,because dogs have rights too,and humans have no right to kill the poor dogs.

We think this way because these are the values we grew up on, if this applies for dogs it should also apply for all animals and we should all be vegitarians. We can make a pet out of any animal and love it as part as our family. Countries are different it doesnt make our thoughts the right thoughts. I would not eat a dog, nor any domesticated animal. I do not eat meat but others in my family do and I do not fault them for that. It is the way we were raised.

I'm totally agree with you.
I remembered how surprised I was when I visited Thailand for the first time. It was about 6 years ago, I saw a lot of lost dogs in the streets. I wondered why I hadn't seen any dogs in the streets back in my country n ofcourse I figured that out soon afterwards. I think in Thailand they don't have animal shelters too n the most shocking scene I've ever seen was a dog got hit by a car.
What I mean here is that there should be a law about how ppl treat their dogs. So yes, dogs have their rights.

I see what your saying,and I think it okay to eat some meats,but in my opinion farm animals are raised to be used for fun,but dogs are raised to be loyal and the best friend of humans,and yeah its very sad to see a dog get hit by a car,and they really need more animal shelters to take care of poor homeless dogs,and dog do have their rights,and their should be laws that protect those rights.

yes me too! I love dogs and dogs are mans best friend..Thou shall not kill mans bestfriend its a crime.Dogs can help also to make us secure..FOr those people who eat dogs think twice they are special animals.

yeah,that's a crime!I wept when my dog was killed for food.His is my best friend,not food!Human-beings have no right to kill him just for food!

I'm so sorry. Yes, they have no right to do that!
I remembered my mother told me about the hard time she used to have n the family had to kill a dog that they had been raised for sometime for food. She was just a kid but she could never forget the way her dog look at her. She said it was like he understood everything n he wanted to beg for her help if he could :(.

The community where I come from eat dog, but the community where I was raised (about 7 kms from my real community) don't eat dog. Imagine my horror when my biological cousins from my real community came to visit us in one festival and they brought dog meat along. My father of course from that communuity ate with them and I ate too, but I never stopped vommitting when I learnt it was dog meat. A shiver ran down my spine and since then I have been more careful what I eat than how it tastes.

what i think that in your country may not be you but those people think that hot dog really means eating a dog. otherwise i dont think so that someone may be eating a dog. if its true its bad part on them. they will surely go to hell . otherwise these type of people must be killed as dogs too want to live. if one buys a dog it doesnot mean that he has bought his life and his will to stay. if i would have been in your place . i would have surely killed those people

there're too many of them n actually, I'm one of them. Yes, I'm ashamed to say I ate dog meat once n I didn't notice until my uncle told me :(.
As far as I see people here like to eat dog meat n I really want to do something about it :(.

I love my dog like a member of the family, but I respect other cultures. In some areas, cows are sacred. Here, they are tasty. Some people have chicken as pets, and other people eat it. If dog is on the menus where you live or where you will be visiting, keep your dog at your side at all times. But otherwise, there is nothing that can be done about it.

I hate to say it but if I was going hungry and there was no food left on the plant, except for dogs. I would eat a dog! LOL that is only if there was no more food left for me to eat.
