All mylotters respond to thos discussions which they find interesting. Is every one writing to get the BEST RESPONSE from the one who started the discussion?
In my opinion everyone should write to get the BEST RESPONSE. then only our respons will have the quality neede to influence others. If there is no thing like the best response, every one writes easily but will not be a quality response.
Quality topics and discussions are the secret of a winning community.

I usually respond without holding any of my thoughts backs. I write to get the best response for that discussion. Who wouldn't want that right? I believe so that if all responses are of that quality, myLot would be a better place for us all. On the other hand, come to think of it, I finally understand why not all people respond that way. It's either they don't have much time to do so, or they are just too lazy to read and understand everything well so they only have little to insignificant things to say. Good discussions deserve good responses. It's sad that this cannot be the case at all times. Still, we must learn to appreciate them for spending a few minutes or so just to read and respond to our discussions. After all, this is what myLot is all about. A response is a response, and we can deal with that. ^^

i also feel that most of us don't take time to read the full discussion. They just see the topic headings and starts off writing inorder to get their number increasing.
Good resonses are always rewarded by good authors.

I respond to discussions on what I want to say. I write how I feel on what the topic is about, share information I know and even ask things I'm not aware. When I respond to discussions, I just write the whatever comes into my mind (like a flashing light bulb waiting to be written)
You cannot really tell people to respond to discussions the "best response" way because different people has his/her own style of writing and thinking. Someone will only give an opinion or bit of information, others will ask more about the topic, others will make a well made and well answered response. That's how discussions are.

I don't believe that. The author of the discussion wishes to know what other people think about the topic. He/she wanted to know what are the views of other people, like this discussion of yours.
As the author, you give the best response to the person who contributed most, who answered the topic well, who gave most information to others, or to the one who made an impact to the readers. That is the BEST RESPONSE.
If the author only decides the best response to the person in coherence with his/her ideas, that is a biased best response. The author should be open to all ideas, consider the thought of his/her reader and not base on the things he/she is already thinking.

oh yes you are right. the author should be open enough to accept all the good responses which has contributedsome good info to the discussion.

BEST RESPONSE is rewarded whenever the author and the responder has their minds thinking at the same frequency.

As far as I know I have never once gotten a best responce rating even though I try really hard sometimes. It is something that eludes me. Don't know why I never get picked.

When I am writing I don't actually think I want to get the best response. I actually try and answer the discussion to best of my ability. Particularly if the person is asking for advice I will give the best advice I can. I do love receiving a best response, however that is not the reason why I respond to people, that is just a bonus.

Good day.. yes honestly I try my best to get a best response but I don't usually hope for it. It depends on the topic, if you agree with it and you made a fine point maybe the topic starter might consider it a best response , the dilemma arises when you disagree with the topic maker even if you made an impeccable argument, still chances are you'll never get promoted but of course it also depends on some few topic makers which prefer an argument rather than an agreement with their point of views then with that kind of topic starter you might still get a chance.

I don't care if my responds were read or not but I just responded them with qualities because I like to help people. On responses I often shared about my own experiences and some members have thanked me for my suggestions and they learned from it. I feel proud that I am producing good quality responses since I first started here in Mylot.

Hi mtsandeep, everybody wish to get the best response. But if we aim that best response it will be so hard because our mind is set up for the best response only. the best thing is to write in relax and the content is come from your heart. With this kind of situation you could express what you have in writing better and for sure it will bring the best good quality content in Mylot.

I respond to share others my opinion, If they admire mine I think I'll have best response, I think all should respond to get best response, but as you know sometime you have more than one great response, and all has great ideas with different points of view.

Not really. I usually respond to the discussions that I am interested in. It is enough to share what I know without really thinking on getting the best response. It will only frustrate me when I didn't get the award for best response. It will also stop me from responding to discussions who already have a best response. I just keep my responses elaborative and informative to make them of good quality.

every one should try to get the best. Trying for the best is not a bad thing. If you try for the best your responses will be automatically of good quality.

You definitely have a point there. For me, I just write what I really like to say or what I have in mind and follow the advise that mylot have in making responses (please be descriptive as possible). It is also very important to really response to the topic that you know so that you could give a valuable comment and opinion. Maybe I have also matured in terms of making responses through the time that I have spent with mylot.
Though I will be hypocrite if I say that I don't care about being marked as the "best response" but I think it is in dispense of the writer of the discussion whom to choose as best response.

Hello!
I think everybody will like to know that the people who read their responses finds them iteresting. It's good to know that the effort that you invest by writing the best response you can was worth and other members appreciate it.
I don't think that getting the Best Response it's my main target when I respond to people discussion, but I would like to be marked as bast response because it will make me feel good with myself, and maybe it will encourage me to respond more in other discussions.

I don't right to get best responses as you never know what the person writing the discussion is looking for a response. If someone wants help, you may think that you are being helpful, but maybe what you suggested was not possible, so they choose someone that has been more useful to THEM in their response. So I don't think it is possible to write for a best response without knowing the member very well and knowing exactly what they want from a response.

There isnt really a need to achieve the best response... For me personally at least but I do put in effort to make each post meaningful because it is seriously a waste of time to post 1 liner. A waste of time to other readers because it is not constructive at all.

I think that people write just to get the best responce except the select few who decide that they need to find information or find give information to others. Other than that i think most people are here to get as much money as they can. To do that they aim to get the best responce and so i would say yes. most people are here just to get the best responce not because it is interesting at all. Anyone else with me?
