when i was a child, yeah i often got scared and dont want to sleep alone with the lights off. and yes again i sometimes dream of them. but as soon as you aged, the impact of it sometimes isnt that huge compare when youre younger. i think its all in the mind, after all you're just carried away with the effects and stories of the horror movie.

Sometimes it does. I can be a big baby in the dark, lol. It's not that I'm scared that something will actually happen to me, but the thought alone is enough to keep me up at night. I saw the movie The Mothman Prophecies in the theater back in '02. And I couldn't sleep without the light on for days after I saw that. Before I saw the movie I had watched all of the documentaries on the Mothman and it all seemed so real. And I'm still unsure about the actual creature living or not. And I'm not really interested in finding out the truth, lol.

I love watching horror films more than any other kind of films because they're stir my imagination more. I never get scared because i'm aware that they're just camera tricks or they're fake. I believe we should give credit to the artists and film makers who put up real good horror films that display artistry and good craftmanship.
The storyline is what bothers me sometimes. Specially if it involves children.. but spooks and ghosts never scare me...coz i know they're not real.

I can say that it can affect ones sleep. When I was a child I love watching horror movies like Nightmare on Elms street etc. and every time I sleep, all the dreams I had were about the movies I watched. From then on I never watch Horror movies before I sleep.

Honestly, it actually does to me. When I watched "The Grudge", I slept with lights on for 5 nights. I can't even take a bath when I know that I'm all alone in our house. It took me several months to get over the fear. :(

when watching alone i never get tired of getting scared no matter how cheesy the horror film is. i hate myself for it and i call myself a man, a spartan man. tsk shame on me. i remember when i watched exorcist when i was like 10 years old that night and well 3 other nights i coudlnt sleep! funny thing is after like 10 years i watched it again. yeah really bad move because again another couple of sleepless nights. dang. now 4 years have past do i dare try to watch it and sleep alone again? you know my answer. no!

Well im only a teenager and ive watched a fair few horro films. I guess in some ways i have been effected but not to a stage that i was scard to sleep alone or even be alone. When i watch these horro films they are entertaining in the sense that zombies and insane things could happen but most likley wont.
