What would you do with it?

Ok so if you had an auction going on ebay and it sold for a nice price (lets say between $75 and $150) what would you do with the money? I have three auctions listed right now and I know exactly where the money is going if they sell...my daughters 18th birthday is in July so anything made from ebay or etsy is going towards her birthday gifts. I am having to really focus on selling things this month in order to be able to do anything for her birthday (see other discussions to know the reason) so I am listing on ebay, advertising my etsy page and listing a few things on craig's list. So what would you use the money for?

I am also selling items on ebay currently, 2 to be exact and if they sell, which so far it looks as though they have a good chance, and for good money too, I plan on using the money to pay a portion of my credit card bill and also to buy some things I need to work on a craft I have recently started as a side home business.

Well my two roosters did not sell and my other item ends in a little over an hour and doesn't look like it will sell either. I was really hoping that they would sell and for a decent price. Oh well try again I guess. Glad to hear you are getting the sells.

Well none of them sold. None had any watchers. I had one question from an ebay newbie. And all auctions had less than 30 veiws each.

I find that it is either a hit or miss with these sales. I have relisted one of these items several times already, and although som ehits on them, it never sold and it is a beautiful skirt that has never been worn, with the tags still attached, I am hoping this time it sells. Try relisting it and hopefully you will have better luck with a sale!

This might sound relaly, really dull, but I'm afraid the money would go straight into my PayPal account and get spent on those really boring everyday things that I can buy on the net. I buy most of my books online for instance, so I use that sort of money there. I'm a bit broke myself just now, so I can't justify putting anything towards special projects

Not boring at all. You do what you got to do. We had my daughter's birthday all planned out till her father threw in a curve ball. She wants to go to the mall, get some new clothes (she really needs some she doesn't have much and it is wearing out fast), go to a movie and go out to eat. I don't think that her birthday wishes are too lofty especially considering it is her 18th birthday. Now she is talking about not going to see the movie (she hasn't been to see a movie in the theater for 5 years and was real excited about this) cause it is too expensive and she knows that money is tight now that the child support has stopped. It is sooooo sad and I am trying my hardest to scrape together enough money to do our original plans. I just hate her father for doing this right before her birthday.

Your daughter sounds like an absolute love, and I truly hope that you have some super sales and are able to treat her to all the things she would like to do on her birthday.

Thank you she is a very good kid and deserves so much better than this. I am selling a few things so that I can use that money on her birthday. I am also going to try to find some coupons for Chili's (that is where she wants to eat).

Hi There! I sell a lot of makeup and skin care items on ebay. When I make sales I use the money most of the time to purchase more inventory from the company to list and sell. Sometimes, though, if we have a bill that is due I'll use the money to pay for that. Great discussion!!

I normally send my money directly to my bank account, most of my accounts are for bulk goods, so i make a nice sum about twice per month. At first I use to splurge on books, but got wiser and started to invest the money.
