What programs do you use to protect your computer from such threats? I use avast antivirus for it is the best one that is free one the market in my opinion. Another I've been recomended to use is eset NOD32 if anybody can gime me a feedback of his experience with eset NOD32 I would really apreciate it :) . As an antispyware I have come to the conclusion that spybot s&d is one of the best available (even though if you are hit by a spyware it is quite hard to really get rid of it no matter what program you use). Lastly as far as rootkits are concerned I have occasionally used avg antirootkit for that job but I think that they are not much of a problem usually so I don't have any antirootkits installed right now. So what are your opinions on this kind of programs?

I've been using the eset NOD32 anti - virus for more than a year and during those time my computer is totally protected until recently when almost all my files are corrupted by a virus like trojan horse. As of now, I am using the AVG8.0 and I make sure I update it whenever there is an available update.
I am going to use again NOD anti - virus once I have the latest version of it.
